1. Does Huber offer standard (non-reversible) blower or suction fans?
No. Huber Reversible Fan, Inc. only makes reversible fans that can be used as a blower or suction fan depending on which position the blades are in. This eliminates the need for two individual fans as well as the labor used to install them.
2. Do I need a special tool to switch between blower and suction positions?
No. With the engine off and the ignition-switch locked, the operator or mechanic simply pushes a blade in, rotates it approximately 180°, and allows the blade to "spring" back out into the new position. Once all of the blades have been rotated, you are now ready to continue working and the air will be moved in the opposite direction.
3. Can I buy parts to repair my damaged Huber reversible fan?
Yes. You are able to purchase nearly every component from us to repair your fan. You can even purchase a blade-kit, which has all of the parts to replace one individual blade assembly. It is recommended that only one blade be replaced per fan because of the fan's balance. Replacing more than one blade may get you out of a jam and it may work temporarily, but an unbalanced fan can be dangerous and it can lead to more serious (and expensive) engine damage.
4. How do I find an authorized Huber Reversible Fan dealer in my area?
Give us a call at 800/582-2740 and provide us with your zip code, and we can provide you with the names of any dealers near you.
5. Will my Huber fan require any maintenance?
Huber fans are practically maintenance-free. It is suggested that you periodically lubricate the blades and reverse them back and forth while the machine is shut-down for other periodic maintenance. Any penetrating spray lubricant like WD-40 or a silicone-based lubricant should work fine. If you have your fan removed at any time while repairing your machine, take a moment to check your fan over for any hidden damage or looseness that may have occurred.
6. Does my fan come with a warranty?
All Huber reversible fans come with a one (1) year warranty to cover any defects in workmanship that jeopardizes the integrity of your fan. This warranty applies to the fan only and does not cover any other components or parts that may have been damaged by the fan. Running a branch into the fan drive, getting stuck on a stump, and leaving a wrench in the engine compartment are examples of what the warranty does not cover.
7. How will my fan be shipped to me?
Most fans with a diameter of 40" or less will/can usually be shipped by UPS. Fans larger than 40" usually exceed the UPS maximum dimensions and will require shipping via truck motor freight or an air courier like Emery Worldwide or BAX Global. Larger stock orders are normally stacked on pallets and shipped via truck. Of course, if you prefer a specific carrier or require a specific service, we will do our best to meet your needs (based on availability in our area).
8. Can I pay for my order with a credit card if I don't have an account?
Yes, we accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover. If credit cards are something you choose not to use, we will accept pre-payment or we can ship C.O.D.
